Zindan Gate is one of the important surviving elements of Bursa's historic city walls, preserving traces of the city's defensive and urban history across different periods. Known in Ottoman records as Bâb-ı Siccin, the gate received its present name from the underground dungeons located beneath and around the fortifications.
Restored and reopened to visitors, Zindan Gate combines historic walls, towers and dungeon spaces with contemporary exhibition areas, offering a distinctive way to explore Bursa's layered past.
