Stretching like a necklace over the Tigris River, the Ten-Arched Bridge (Tigris Bridge) was built in 1065 during the Marwanid period. Made of black basalt stone with ten arches, this historical structure is one of Diyarbakır's most recognizable symbols. Located at the foot of Kırklar Mountain, the bridge is closed to vehicle traffic today, offering visitors a unique view of the cool waters of the Tigris, a chance to relax in local cafes, and a historical walk.
