Historical Hasan Pasha Inn

Located right across from the Great Mosque in the historical Sur district, Hasan Pasha Inn (Hasan Paşa Hanı) was built between 1572 and 1575 by the Ottoman Governor Sokolluzade Hasan Pasha. Reflecting the magnificent harmony of black and white cut stones, this two-story historical caravanserai is one of the most beautiful examples of classical Ottoman architecture in the city, featuring a courtyard fountain and arched porticoes. Serving as a resting point for Silk Road merchants throughout history, the inn has become one of the city's most vibrant social centers today while perfectly preserving its historical texture. It will be one of the most enjoyable stops of your trip to experience the traditional Diyarbakır breakfast in an authentic atmosphere, sip the famous dibek coffee under the stone arches in the courtyard, and visit local handicraft shops.
