Zeki Muren Arts Museum

On one of Bodrum's quiet streets lies a special place that bears witness to the life story of Zeki Müren, a legend of Turkish art music: the Zeki Müren Arts Museum. The artist purchased this house now a museum from sociologist Fatma Mansur Coşar in 1977 and spent a significant portion of his life there. In 2000, through the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and the Mehmetçik Foundation, the house was transformed into a museum open to art lovers.

The ground floor of the two story structure is the private area where Zeki Müren spent his final years; preserved faithfully to its original state, it welcomes visitors with the décor from the time the artist lived there. The upper floor offers a true museum experience, showcasing the artist's stage costumes, jewelry, personal paintings, private belongings, and countless awards. The car located in the front garden is one of the most popular spots for visitors to take photographs.

Of the two gardens flanking the house, the one at the rear now serves as a cafeteria. While sipping your tea or coffee in this peaceful corner, you also have the opportunity to watch Zeki Müren's unforgettable music videos.

Offering both a gateway into the private world of an art icon and an emotional journey back to the golden age of Turkish music, this museum serves as a nostalgic and meaningful stop for visitors to Bodrum.
