The İsmail Bey Complex, one of the significant historical structures in Kastamonu, was commissioned in the 15th century by Kemâleddin İsmail Bey, the final ruler of the Candaroğulları Principality. Situated atop Şahinşah Rock, the complex comprises various structures, including a mosque, a tomb (türbe), a madrasa, an inn (han), a Turkish bath (hamam), and a public kitchen (imaret).
As a structure that preserves the architectural and cultural heritage of the Candaroğulları era, the complex stands as an important landmark among the historical and touristic assets of Kastamonu.
