I would now like to introduce the Hamza Paşa Mosque, located in the Gülbaharhatun Neighborhood of Trabzon’s Ortahisar district. Situated near the Küçük İmaret Cemetery, the mosque lacks an inscription; however, the fact that Hamza Bey—considered the mosque's patron—passed away in 1735 suggests that the structure may have been built prior to that date.
Distinguished by its stonework and woodwork, the mosque features a rectangular plan and a hipped roof. Its stone minaret with a single balcony, wooden ceiling, and simple interior are among its notable characteristics. Currently open for worship, the Hamza Paşa Mosque stands as one of Trabzon’s historical mosques surviving from the Ottoman era, making a significant contribution to the city’s cultural and religious heritage.
