I would now like to introduce you to the Çarşı Mosque, located in the town center of Tirebolu. Records indicate that the mosque dates back to the 19th century; while it was originally built between 1879 and 1880, the current structure was rebuilt in 1947 by Ahmet Nemli and his wife, Mürüvvet Nemli.
Constructed from cut and dressed andesite stone, the mosque is notable for its rectangular plan, round-arched windows, and stone minaret featuring a single balcony. Its simple yet distinctive architecture harmonizes with the historical fabric of Tirebolu’s bazaar district. Still open for worship today, the Çarşı Mosque welcomes visitors as one of the district's significant religious and cultural landmarks that has endured from the past to the present.
