Ulus Anafartalar Bazaar

Located within the historic commercial and cultural fabric of Ulus, Anafartalar Bazaar is one of the buildings that preserves traces of the traditional urban life surrounding Anafartalar Avenue. Together with the conservation and rehabilitation works carried out in the Ulus Historic City Center, it offers a meaningful stop for visitors wishing to experience Ankara’s historic urban fabric.

Completed in 1964 and designed through an architectural competition, the bazaar is regarded as Ankara’s first modern shopping center. It houses works by prominent artists including Nuri İyem, Füreya Koral, Attila Galatalı, Arif Kaptan, Cevdet Altuğ, and Seniye Fenmen.

Through the gallery created within the bazaar’s authentic environment under the Ankara Kültür brand, the space continues its mission of bringing the people of Ankara together with culture and art in different forms.
