Letoon Ancient City

Located in the Kumluova neighborhood of Seydikemer, the ancient city of Letoon is one of the most important sacred sites of Lycia and a unique archaeological heritage site that has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1988. Letoon, the religious center of the Lycian League in antiquity, possesses an impressive atmosphere where history and mythology intertwine.

At the center of the sacred site are three temples dedicated to Leto, Apollo, and Artemis. The site also features an ancient theater, a sacred water source, and the remains of an early church. One of Letoon's most remarkable artifacts is a trilingual inscription dating back to the 4th century BC, written in Lycian, Greek, and Aramaic.
