Alaca Hingal is a traditional dish from Çorum, prepared by cutting thinly rolled dough into squares and filling them with a mixture of lean minced beef, onion, and spices. The dough is folded into a distinctive eight-cornered bundle shape and then boiled in water. Holding a long-established place in Alaca cuisine, Hingal is served with hot butter poured over it and enjoyed with garlic water or yogurt. Its traditional preparation makes it one of the distinctive local dishes representing Alaca’s culinary heritage.
