Kırıkhan Black Carrot is a local carrot grown in the Kırıkhan district of Hatay, distinguished by its deep purple to nearly black color and firm texture. Its high dry matter content and intense pigmentation give it a distinctive character. Closely linked to Kırıkhan’s climate and cultivation conditions, the carrot is consumed fresh and also used in şalgam and various processed products. It is one of the district’s characteristic agricultural specialties.
